I’ve been practicing it for quite a while now. i was be atleast satisfied if it only spun half way but still stayed under me, i just need some help with keeping the board under me after i flick the board.

  2. Hey dudes i m skating 7 years now and i can only ollie o.o 40 cm i dont know why help me…. my next problem is that i cant kickflip i just cant my skate sometimes stays in the air and i am on the ground.. and i cant pop shove it while i m riding in the board it seems so dificcult help meeeee plsss

  6. Im 16, I skated when I was 10 till I turned 11, I would probably not stop if I did not have to come to England. Now Im going back to it, but Im a little concerned with my pushing and popping, I ride with my right foot, but also pop with my right foot, its like my right foot is my front and back foot at the same time. Can you help me out on this, I honestly dont know if I should change the way Im skating. Its just comfortable that way.

    • by kick to you mean with your front foot to flip the board or the kick down of the tail? I suggest that you break down the trick and practice just that step of the trick and then when your really really comfortable moving your foot in that way then you can go back onto the full trick. for example stand still and just practice sliding your front foot up and off the same way that you will be doing it when you actually do the kickflip. Hope this helps!

  7. Hey Aaron, my name is Lester. I watched a few of your videos, depending on which tricks I needed help with, and I must say that they are the absolute most simplistic, and thorough trick tips I’ve seen on YouTube. Im really impressed, seriously. I hope im not bothering you by sending you this message because I have a question, im looking for advice. As a skater i’ve been skating for about 5-6 years now, even since i was 15 years old. I’m 20 now and i’ve never stopped skating. Of course, there has been cases where i’ve been unable to skate at all because of weather and other things. But through all those years I’ve tried to skate as much as I could, still trying as well with maintaining a job and upcoming school. Yet, through all that I feel personally I havent progressed as much as I like. I can land Heelflips somewhat consistently, I can ollie, manual & nose manual, frontside shuv its, front 180′s and currently Im trying to get myself into learning grinds and slides(50-50 is a tad bit frustrating to pop out of). But anyway, I’m trying to get out and skate more often regardless of life throwing things my way. Do you have any advice about this and progression? I know the saying practice makes perfect but I personally think things are a bit deeper than that. Thank you for your videos, it helps alot and I will watch them everyday to try and implement what motions to do in my head. And thank you for giving me a chance to ask you this. Well if you do write back in that case. Thank you

    • Hi Lester thanks for you comment and thanks for supprting me and the Braille videos. Its funny you ask because I was just thinking about making a video covering this. I will tell you in short what I did and how I pregressed with my tricks. As I will go over in my coming shortly “Skateboarding Made Simple” video progressing on your board is all about learning one step at a time and in as close to an easy order as you can without skipping to many steps in between. By this I mean learning the tricks in the proper order going gradually from easiest to hardest. Now here is what I did and what I suggest. Every time I learned a new trick I would do that trick everytime I go out to skateboard and I have a routine that I do everytime I go that includes all the tricks I know. For example I start out just riding around and doing ollies to get comfortable on my board and then do a couple 180s then flip tricks etc. Some people I have seen go out and before doing all the tricks they learned before just go onto trying to next one they want to learn and In my opinion they don’t learn as fast and are less consistent as a result. When I was growing up there was a spot with a 5 stair and once I first kickfliped the stairs I made it a point to kickflip them every single day I went there after that with out fail and eventually it was soooooo easy I didn’t even have to think about it. So its in this way that I built up my bag of tricks and was able to progress. I hope this helps and like I said I will be making a video about this shortly and keep an eye out for “Skateboarding Made Simple” dropping shortly. Best, Aaron Kyro

      • Thanks, Aaron. This seems like the most sensible thing to do. Progression should be a top priority for people skating, alongside having fun. I’ll definitely put what you’ve told me to good use once I can. The weather is kinda bad at the moment. As for “Skateboarding Made Simple”, I’m grateful for someone like you to put something up as detailed and as helpful as your videos and upcoming videos. Most people who give advice are usually vague and not truly detailed at all. But your videos are outstanding in my opinion. Please keep up the good work, you have my support man.

    • Ok man thanks for the video!!!!!! You are really close you almost landed that first one. I will more fully cover all of the steps in my upcoming video “Skateboarding Made Simple” but really fast what you need to do is just practice the flick of your front foot some more. Stand still with your tail down and your nose up in the air and practice sliding your toe up and off of the board in the kickflip motion to get your foot and muscles more used to that flicking motion. Remember your foot should slide up and off of the board never down! Not that your flick is too bad cause you are really close but just practice that step some more and your will have it. It will also help to make sure that you know all of the easier tricks leading up to the kickflip. There is a suggested order on the “Skateboarding Made Simple” introduction preview video. This is not absolutely necessary but if you have those previous tricks down first the kickflip will be much easier to take on. I hope that this helps and send me your land as soon as you make it! Thanks, Aaron Kyro.

    • Im sorry man when I went to check out your video it says that your youtube account was deleted and the video is no longer available. Please re upload it and I will be glad to help you out! Sorry I didn’t get to this one sooner! Best, Aaron Kyro

  8. hey i watched ur how to tre flip and i was trying to see what i was doing wrong. i did 2 shuzs and a kickflip to show u i can do those and then i have my tre flips. i am not sure what i am doing wrong and i would really apprecaite it if u could help me. i tried ur suggestion on putting my back wheels on the crack but no mater what i cant seem to land it much less land upside down. once again thank u and i hope ur suggestions will help me land the trick and here is the video

  9. I used to have them but now i can’t get my back foot to jump off with me and i did it in the grass and i could do them but when i’m on cement my back foot won’t jump off HELP PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. i have been landing heelflips recently but i always land on the tail i have snapped 4 decks in just a week the next will probably be my last board i dont want to break it but i realy want to do heelflips is it because of the weather in canada i mean like the winter

    • Wow man thats a little bit of a rough one breaking boards is no fun. I suggest practicing your heelflip flick while stepping off with our back foot just to increase your ability to flip the board and keep it under your feet. If you can really control the board well then you can just work on keeping your back foot over the back trucks which is where you want it to be to keep your boards safe. Other then that just center your weight more towards your front foot. I hope that you don’t break your board and I hope this helps. If you need more help send me a video. Thanks, Aaron Kyro.

    • Cool video man thanks for sharing! Not sure if you needed help on one of these or not but let me know and again thanks for sharing and supprting BrailleSkateboarding.com! Thanks, Aaron Kyro

    • This is AWESOME! Thanks a lot and I am really glad that my videos helped you out! I really appreciate you sharing this video and supporting me and BrailleSkateboarding.com :-) Best, Aaron Kyro

  11. Sup Aaron your a amazing skateboarder .. i was wondering if you could give me some advice on my kickflips … Well my problem is i catch it with my front foot but my back foot lands directly beside the board.. Any advice?

  12. I currently have two problems when I try to kick flip. The first problem is that the board always does a half flip. The only way I can get a full rotation is if I pretty much have just the toes of my front foot on the board. The more I put my front foot on, the less rotation I get.

My second problem is with flicking down and not up. Would anybody have any tips to fix the flicking down problem?

    • ok cool man yeah when I read the first part of your comment I thought to myself its because your flipping down and not up so thats really what you need to fix. I am making a full length video that will explain this in further detail but what you need to do is take it back a step and practice just sliding your foot up and off of the board. Stand still on the board with your tail down and your nose propped up in the air and just go through the motions of dragging your toe UP and off of the board. You have to get your foot and leg muscles used to that motion of sliding your foot up in that motion otherwise you will always just be pushing your foot down and thats not good. So practice just that step until you really really feel comfortable with sliding your foot up and off before going back to trying the full trick. Also before you take on kickflips I recommend getting down some other basic tricks first watch my new video Skateboarding Made Simple Introduction to see my suggested order. You can learn kick before heelflips in that order if you want. I hope this helps and thanks for using Braille!

    • for some reason that link isn’t working for me? Could you try and embed the video here not just post up the link so I can watch it from this site. I would of embedded it but I can’t get to the video and Im not sure why…? Sorry about that

  13. I need some advice with my ollie. BTW im inside because its wet all the time outside and that is why i dont have any pop. I can get pop outdoors.

  14. i dont have a video but before i land kickflips a little and i couldnt skate for a while and now when i try it it doesnt flip at all and when im doing it moving it doesnt do anything but goes behind me. Please help and thanks.

    • Ok well it sounds to me that if you could do it before you just need to get back on your board and practice some more because at one point you had it down and now you don’t. Are you skating a lot and practicing enough? Also before getting into kickflips I recommend learning some more basic tricks first as that may be the reason you don’t totally have it down again. You can see my suggested order in my new video “Skateboarding Made Simple Introduction.” Sorry I wasn’t too much help but I hope that this helps some anyways and if you can come up with a video please send it

  15. Hello, I am having a couple of problems with my Kickflip. Because when i do a Kickflip, i pop the board and flick but i keep on pushing the deck forward when im trying to flick outwards. I think i am getting better with the balance and everything so it seems alright. (might be the fact that im using a walmart board but if you could help with the problem i have that would be more than helpful. Thank you!! :D P.S.your brilliant at skatin!

  16. Aaron first off I must say your one of the best skater

do to land it. when I pop how hard should I flick the board &
how can I get the board to stay under my feet ? HELP ME KICKFLIP

  17. here is my video what am i doing wrong? my foot wont go forward it just stays back why!!?? Please help me aaron!

    • Hey man you landed that last one that was awesome man!!!!!!!! Im not quite sure what you need help with because you landed it haha! In terms of doing it higher and easier and all that you just need to practice more and more. For that matter you should really ride your board everywhere and on all terrains and you will get better and more comfortable riding your board all together. Anyways if there is any thing specific that you needed help with let me know.

    • Hey man to be Honest with you it looks like all you need to to is practice more! You basically landed that last one you just really need to practice that some more and you got it! One thing that my help you is to learn back a little more before you pop so that the board doesn’t go behind you but infront of you and that way you can land the trick better. You also catch this trick with your front foot so keep that in mind in terms of stopping the flip of the board just like you catch a pop shove it only waiting for it to flip of course. I hope that this helps and when you land it send me the video!

      • Hi and thanx for your reply
the problem is that i only landed this once and most of the time i just land close or land but dont stay on the board’
you meant lean back on your response?
i dont get why my pop shove it are good and the board goes forward but here it goes behind
        thanx

  18. What am i doing wrong i cant get my back foot onto the tail only my front foot lands my back foot just doesnt go forward what m i doin wrong bro?

  19. Daniel Fox-

Need help with ollie! Please leave advice and tips to get better technique and height! Also my landing is slightly strange, because I land with feet both pointing outwards. However I want them to both point straight forward, parallel, on the bolts.

    • Ok man so good on your ollie you are doing it and getting it off of the ground and you should take a win on that! Now in terms of landing with your feet like that do you your feet land like that on every ollie that you do? I don’t think there is really much more that I can tell you about landing with your feet like that other then to just practice a lot! The more that you practice the better you will get and the more board control you get you will be able to land your feet any way you like on the board really. Its just a practice thing. I also want to suggest that you practice out side on the pavement as you will be able to pop more and higher on the concrete. It will help your height to ollie on the concrete as well. Once you get this down really really well up the curb down the curb over cracks and by the time you really have it down you will be able to land with your feet any way you like. I hope this helps man good work and preactice a lot! Next trick you can learn is frontside 180s!

    • Ok man so don’t worry about the videos I will delete the others. Your comments have to be approved by me first thats why you didn’t see them show up until now. So anyways I looked at your video and it looks like you need to cut it back and practice the flick some more. your foot is flicking down off the side of the board and thats why your front foot lands on the ground first before your board. You should just practice sliding your toe up and off of the board while the board is still until you really have the motion down well. Also I suggest for all skaters first learning to be very very comfortable with riding and have the following down before you go onto your kickflip: ollie, 180s both ways, shove its both ways, and to have those tricks down well. I want to make sure that you have good board control and those tricks are easier then the kickflip so once you get those and have a lot of practice on your board and go back to the kickflip it will be much easier. On my kickflip video where I hold the board still and slide my foot up thats what you should practice and get really down. Another thing that has helped is to practice flipping the board and landing with one foot and then the other. I hope this helps and if you need more help then please let me know! Thanks.

  20. comment from: Maneesh Withanagamage

sorry to bother you and thx for the help I landed my heelflip today I mean like more than 5 times but just after I land it my board shoots out all the s I landed it I can land it perfectly on the bolts but after I land it the board shoots out please help.
    .

    • Ok man I believe that I replied to this video once before already and I hope that that helped you. So since then you were landing them but the board was shooting out? With that problem it just sounds like your leaning back too far with the majority of your weight on the back foot. You want to balance out your weight and one thing that your should try is before you pop and flip the board try having your weight a little more over your front foot, not so much that it messes up your flip but just enough to balance your weight out a bit. Practice this and hopefully that helps you to land bolt and ride away! Im glad that your landing them now and Im sure with a few more days of practice you will have this one down bolts! As soon as you land one film it and send me the link I would love to see it. Thanks a lot for posting! – Aaron Kyro

      • thax dude im almost getting there i am 100 % sure that i will lad it before Christmas thx for the help

    • Ok man Great video and thanks for posting! Now with your kickflips your front foot flick is incorrect because your front foot goes straight to the ground and land on the ground before your board does which means you need to practice working on sliding your front foot/toe up and off the board and then lifting your ankle UP as it goes off the board. Your foot is going straight down which does flip the board as you can see however how could you ever get your foot back up there to land if because your foots on the ground before you flip it. So I want you to practice just sliding your foot up and off the board as a pre step to getting used to the proper flick and then practice flipping the board and just landing with your front foot. After you do this it should be much easier. My other suggestion is to take it back a few steps and practice your earlier trick more and really really get those down first because that will make the kickflip soooo much easier! I saw some 180s and shove its and even ollies in there and it looks like it would help you to really just master riding your board and really really getting more comfortable with those tricks. They are easier then the kickflip and will really help you to master that trick! Thanks and I hope this helps! Best, Aaron Kyro
