Im sorry for not getting back to some of you guys. I get so many requests for trick help that its impossible for me to keep up with it all. I really want you guys to send me your footage so that I can make more videos in the skate support series. I think that for right now this is the best way for me to really keep helping you all and getting to your videos as best I can. The more that you explain your difficulties in the video and the better your filming is the more likely I am to use your footage. Before I found your site I purchase a complete deck from the local Vans store a few months back… I went with a configuration that the Vans employee suggested. I haven’t skated in over 20 years and I’m looking to get back into it.
My goal is to follow your advice and slowly progress in my ability.
My current deck configuration:
- deck: 8.25 (BEAR brand I think)
- trucks: Independent
- bearings: Reds
- wheels: Caption Greek 56
- spacer: 1/4 inch I think
I’m 6′ foot / shoe: 9″ / 190lbs (Hoping skating and exercising will drop me back-down to 170lbs)
After watching your videos and going over your configuration, I just wanted to get your recommendations and if you think it would be worth purchasing another complete deck.
Now that you’re riding for Revenge what is your preferred deck size?

Hey Aaron, how are you? So heres my problem: Im goofy stanced but im practicing the ollie on regular stance idk why i cant seem to do the ollie on goofy stance i cant pop the board while on goofy but i can pop it on regular. Btw ive been skating for about 3 months now and ive got the riding basics down please explain how can i do it on my stance. Last resort i have is skating mongo so i land on regular.
