What Size Skateboard is Right For You?
We get a lot of questions about skateboarding.
One of the most common questions is, “What size skateboard should I ride?”
Honestly, the correct size for you may have less to do with your shoe size or height and more to do with your personal preference and what type of skating you like to do.
A board that is more narrow will be better for flip tricks while a wider board will be more appropriate for street, stairs or tranny skaters.
Boards can range in size most commonly from 7.7 to 9 inches wide.

Andy Schrock also did a great video covering board size and preferences. Since Andy owns Revive Skateboards and has a lot of experience with what types of boards skaters buy and ride, his info is legit and helpful.
With that all being said, a good beginner board for teens and adults is the 8″. If you are younger or smaller you may want to start with a 7.75 for easier board control.
Lance recently moved up to an 8.25 with the hopes that he will be able to do stairs more easily.
